red bell peppers : my favorite ingredient in bacalao, alongside with the garbanzos (interpretation: I pick these out when I’m getting my serving hahaha)

extra-virgin olive oil | garlic | shredded salted bacalao or cod fish | potatoes | garbanzos | bell pepper | tomato sauce

I cooked bacalao for my friends last month.  It was my first time (although it has been my nth time to eat it) and my mom wasn’t satisfied with how I made it so she bought bacalao again and showed me how to cook it.  Not that it’s hard to make, the only thing I realized I did wrong was not add some water, but my mom does have that magic touch when it comes to the kitchen.  I wanted to put in green bell peppers too, but my mom was adamant about sticking to red only.  And since she was the one cooking today, all red it is! mmmmmm. :)~
